The United States Conference on AIDS to Be Held in Florida
The inaugural conference of a new national coalition will be held in Miami, Florida, on September 18-21 at the Fountainebleau Hilton. The United States Conference on AIDS is a partnership of 13 national AIDS organizations, including NEAC.
The mission of the conference is to increase the strength and diversity of the community-based-response to the AIDS epidemic through education, training, new partnerships, collaboration, and networking.
The conference will feature 120 workshops in the areas of Care, Prevention, Treatment, Public Policy, Management, Fund Raising, and Special Populations. There will also be one and one-half day long Institutes offering in-depth exploration and discussion of today’s most timely AIDS/HIV-related issues.
Limited scholarships will be available for NEAC members based on financial need and organizational membership. Members of NEAC may apply for a single scholarship. Please be sure to register early. The deadline for scholarship support is June 13, 1997. For more information, contact the NEAC Office or the National Minority AIDS Council at 202-483-6622.
