Call for Awards Nominations

NEAC regularly recognizes outstanding work in AIDS and HIV service and education by both individuals and organizations. We invite you to submit nominations for these awards, to be reviewed by a committee of the NEAC board and given at the “Forward in Faith” conference next March. The nomination form is on the next page. Here are the criteria for nomination:

Purpose

To acknowledge an organization or a person who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and ministry in response to the crisis of AIDS and HIV infection through efforts in education, care, and/or advocacy.

Who

An individual Episcopalian or an Episcopal group or organization whose ministry has an official AIDS focus. The influence of the work should be such that there is clear evidence of its impact and influence on the wider Church and/or society and the way it ministers or responds to persons with HIV infection and AIDS.

Where

The site of the work may be local, regional, national, or international.

Duration

Recipients should have been engaged in some form of AIDS ministry for at least three years.
