NEAC Meets in Pasadena

All Saints Episcopal Church, Pasadena, California was the site for NEAC’s annual meeting January 13th in concert with its regular board meeting. Re-elected to the Executive Committee were

In a move to create greater participation in NEAC governance, the Executive Committee was enlarged to include two members-at-large. Elected were:

The Board welcomed Barry Muneuz in his capacity of liaison on behalf of Sonja Francis at the Program Office, National Church Center, New York.
The parish of St. Luke and St. Matthew in Brooklyn has entered into an agreement to be the central office for NEAC, under the oversight of The Rev. Richard Brewer, acting as administrator.
The NEACtion newsletter will be published three times during the year and continues to be edited by Anne Grant.
Membership dues were revised: Individual, $35; household, $50, and organizations/dioceses, $100. Interested persons are reminded that NEAC welcomes memorial gifts.
Elizabethe Payne reported that the Sunday School HIV Curriculum revision will be tried at various pilot sites this spring and should be ready for distribution by next fall. Revision of the TAP (Teens AIDS Prevention) program will get underway later this year.
A conference will be held in the fall of 2002. To better serve the needs of those attending, a questionnaire will be included in the next issue of NEACtion, to be returned to the board for use in planning.
The Goals and Objectives created under the mentorship of The Rev. Fred Howard at our October 2000 meeting were reviewed. The general area of communication as defined in our vision is our area of emphasis for this year. Upcoming Board meeting dates are June1–3, 2001 in Atlanta, October 2001, and January 2002.
