71st General Convention: A006a

Resolved, The House of Bishops concurring, That this 71st General convention recognizes that AIDS/HIV ministry includes: (a) collaboration among provincial structures, the National Episcopal AIDS Coalition, UBEAT, as well as other coalitions which cross diocesan boundaries and traditional programmatic structures; (b) identification of resources and models for prevention education, pastoral care and worship; (c) development of new models of distribution and training for these resources; and (d) working with the Joint Commission on AIDS/HIV or its successor in evaluating these models and resources; and be it further

Resolved, That this Convention provide $200,000 over the course of the next triennium to hold provincial conferences to further the above stated objects, with specific attention being paid to the unique needs of Province IX, subject to funding in the budget.
